The role

The Business Solutions Specialist GSC is responsible for analyzing business ideas and translating them into concrete project requirements using business cases, analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to understand their needs and convert them into functional requirements, with a primary focus on shaping project demands into business cases for prioritization by senior leadership. The Specialist will primarily work within the Supply Chain function, including manufacturing, while also interacting with finance to support business case development.

What are your major duties?

  • Assess and analyze business ideas and their feasibility within GSC, as well as current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Develop and propose solutions to address business challenges and improve processes
  • Create detailed business cases to support project proposals in line with business strategies and objectives, as well as translate business ideas into detailed project requirements, in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Create and maintain documentation, including business cases, requirement documents, process descriptions, process maps, and functional specifications
  • Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and support teams, regularly interacting with stakeholders to gather inputs and assertively challenge unclear requirements or ideas (with support from portfolio business partners in difficult discussions)
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and portfolio business partners, fostering collaboration amongst potential future business analysts to ensure cohesive analysis and project alignment

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role. Experience within the Supply Chain or Manufacturing sectors is a plus, but not mandatory. Candidates with strong analytical backgrounds with other experiences are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., MS Office suite, Microsoft Visio, Signavio) and experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, while being a strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Must be comfortable navigating different viewpoints and asserting ideas diplomatically when necessary
  • Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in work deliverables, as well as commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external customers
  • Ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions, as well as flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
