The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Professional to join our Belgium team! This role offers the chance to make a real impact within a supportive, global FMCG company of 25,000+ employees. As our HR Business Partner Belgium, you’ll work with local leaders to shape People & Culture (P&C) strategies, coach managers, and ensure compliance.

You’ll also be part of key P&C projects across the France-Benelux region, collaborating with our centres of excellence. This is a fantastic role for a proactive HR professional looking to drive growth and make a difference.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Act as a strategic people partner, working with local management and people leaders to address business needs, design relevant P&C strategies, and support in people management.
  • Collaborate with “centres of excellence” to meet business needs, including training plans, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Organize and oversee works council (OR) and health & safety (CPBW) meetings, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Lead internal P&C communications on various platforms, including national sales meetings and market meetings, and manage related reporting.
  • Oversee payroll and personnel administration, directing employees and leaders to the centralized “people portal” for P&C information, while serving as an escalation point.
  • Coordinate complex cases involving termination, internal mobility, structural changes, and other personnel matters, ensuring all actions comply with company policies and legal requirements. Continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of both "hard" and "soft" HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
  • Fluent in Dutch (native level), with strong proficiency in both French and English, and good communication skills across all three languages.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently, reaching out to employees and leaders to assess and respond to P&C needs.
  • Experience in managing social dialogue, works councils, and legal compliance within P&C, ideally in a multinational environment.
  • Proven capability to lead and embed both local and regional P&C projects, aligning initiatives with specific business needs and employee development goals.
