The Role

Schedule: Full Time, Remote

Location: Flexible

Travel: 50%

 

You will be responsible for enhancing the operational performance of Imperial Brands Factories. This role includes conducting factory maturity assessments, devising improvement plans, implementing governance systems, and providing necessary support to factories. Additionally, you will establish a Continuous Improvement Academy for the Global Supply Chain community, complete with official certification programs. Your efforts will drive operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

 

As the Global Factory Efficiency and Effectiveness Improvement Manager, you'll join an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Conduct thorough maturity assessments of factory operations to evaluate performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive improvement plans based on assessment findings.
  • Establish and maintain governance systems to ensure consistent and standardized processes across factories.
  • Provide guidance and support to factory managers and teams to overcome operational challenges.
  • Design and develop a Continuous Improvement Academy, including curriculum and certification programs.
  • Collaborate with the Global Manufacturing Excellence Team and factory leadership to ensure effective execution of improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in manufacturing, particularly in Continuous Improvement and process improvement.
  • Experience in Lean methodology, with relevant experience in managing and implementing change in large, decentralized, international organizations.
  • Extensive experience with organizational development, focusing on culture change and the soft aspects of people management.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of delivering clear and structured messages in various formats.
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and inspire teams in Lean Thinking and operational excellence.
