Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead Formulation Projects: Manage the assessment, creation, and development of new, early-stage technology ideas within one of our core product categories. 
  • Drive Innovation: Oversee complex innovation projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with consumer KPIs through effective planning and team management. 
  • Market Insights: Collaborate with portfolio, category, and market teams to translate competitor and market insights into development opportunities and a robust pipeline. 
  • IP Management: Work with legal and IP teams to capture new and emerging intellectual property, ensuring all innovations are protected. 
  • Consumer-Centric Innovation: Identify unmet consumer needs and new demand shifts to inspire innovative product ideas and develop early prototypes for testing. 
  • Collaborative Development: Engage in multidisciplinary ideation sessions, manage external partner relationships, and continuously improve internal processes while supporting and coaching team members. 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience: Significant Experience in innovation fields like Formulation Science, Pharmaceutical Development, or Heated Tobacco Development. 
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in technical product development and R&D. 
  • Project Management: Skilled in Project & Programme Management and Technical Project Management. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage stakeholders effectively. 
  • Product & IP Development: Expertise in product development, IP generation, and commercial and consumer awareness.
