The Role

At Imperial Brands PLC we are looking for a passionate, analytical, and proactive Senior Analyst to support our Next Generation Portfolio (NGP) initiatives and provide critical insights that will drive our market strategy in Portugal.

As a Senior Analyst, you will be integral to understanding and predicting market trends, analyzing competitor movements, and assessing the performance of our own brands and products. Your insights will shape decisions on product positioning, pricing, promotional activities, and strategic investments.

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Market Analysis & Forecasting: Monitor and assess the NGP markets, gathering data to evaluate market size, growth potential, and competitor activities. Develop accurate sales forecasts at the brand and SKU level.
  • Competitive Analysis: Track and analyze competitors' strategies, brand positioning, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Build ad-hoc business cases, conduct post-launch evaluations, and provide insights on price positioning and commercial effectiveness.
  • Trade Investment Analysis: Evaluate ROI of trade initiatives and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate insights, opportunities, and actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.

 

Skills and Experience Required

 

  • Relevant experience in Business Analysis. Prior experience in FMCG environment is desirable.
  • Strong abilities in data analysis, Excel, and experience with data warehousing tools or CRM tools.
  • Driven to go beyond the numbers to provide meaningful insights, with a focus on results.
  • Ability to effectively convey complex data insights to stakeholders across various functions and regions.
  • Fluency in English is a must, and fluency in Portuguese is a plus.
