The Role

As a Corporate and Legal Affairs Manager you will act as the Imperial Brands Hellas spokesperson when relevant, you will ensure that the company’s interests are well-represented vis-à-vis all key decision makers, in all relevant industry organizations and a leading voice within the industry, you will protect the company from regulatory and legal risk ensuring all activities are in compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of Imperial Brands corporate and fiscal affairs strategy, shaping the external environment to maximize sales and ensure sustainability. Coordinate with local management to ensure the consistency of the company’s narrative across touchpoints and the implementation of a robust roadmap of communication activities
  • Drive proactively engagement and communication with stakeholders internally and externally on all issues relating to our business. Provide crisis communications support where required while provide input in internal messaging
  • Contribute to strategic discussions and planning activities with market Leadership Team. Represent the company in relevant industry associations, business organizations and regulatory bodies
  • Identify, assess and communicate current and emerging regulatory risks and opportunities for the respective markets. Provide guidance and advice across all business functions with regards to regulatory compliance issues, Dawn Raids & Crisis Management. Partner with business and operational teams to identify and mitigate legal risks while achieving commercial objectives
  • Oversee and drive the legal assessment activities of the local team, including external advisors. Stay informed about changes in Greek & EU law and industry-specific regulation
  • Assess, advise and communicate the legal risks and issues involved in any significant proposed decision to Management 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science or Law.
  • Professional experience in Public Relation, Public Affairs, Corporate Affairs and Law (preferably within regulated industries e.g. pharma, spirits). Experience in managerial level is a must.
  • Greek Native & Fluent in English (oral & written)
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills. Effective team player with strong presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to communicate at all levels across the organization
  • Results oriented. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Proactiveness and hands-on mentality
