The Role:

We are looking for a Production Manager for our factory in Sävsjö, Sweden.

As a key member of the site leadership team, you will report to our Factory Manager and you will be responsible for managing a 24/6 production and all production elements of the Manufacturing Department. The role holder is responsible that the factory meets the established production specifications and schedules; KPIs incl., volume, cost, waste targets, quality and safety standards. You will directly manage 3 employees who are leading 6 front line leaders and 170 employees over all shifts operated within the factory.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will drive a Safety-first and well-being culture and be responsible to continually improve safety behaviour and performance by fully understanding and supporting all safety programmes, including as well physical safety and employee wellbeing.
  • As part of the site leadership team, you will be driving strategic direction of the factory and building longer term plans for the site.
  • You will provide leadership for direct reports ensuring you develop and drive a high-performance culture, whilst ensuring development and succession plans are in place. Have a working understanding of wellbeing and health and safety best practice and local legislation and employee engagement action activities.
  • You will be a role model towards all people in the organization and will provide feedback on safety, performance and overall behaviour to sustain, improve and reinforce our company values.
  • You will plan, direct, and monitor all production activities to maximise the use of the company’s resources and meet established production specifications, production schedules, quality, volume, cost, maintenance and wastage targets
  • You will spearhead our lean culture, where you will establish, instil and sustain a culture of best practice implementation and continuous improvement (5S, 5Why, PDCA, RCA, Imperial Operation System IoS, etc.). In this you will further drive all employees’ positive involvement, constructive input and action and you will be driving central and regional standards created by the supporting functions.
  • You will develop strategic production initiatives and collaborate strongly with Technical Manager in developing Total Preventive Maintenance Plans that ensure the Factory is capable and equipped to meet future business needs. You will actively engage in a matrix organisation with relevant stakeholders to share best practice and further develop existing standards in place.
  • You will drive and support employee engagement activities and initiatives.
  • You will lead Project Management for bigger initiatives to transform and improve operations.

Your Education, Skills, Experiences:

  • You have strong leadership and coaching skills, coupled with strong stakeholder management to challenge the status quo and drive change and operational excellence.
  • You have a good knowledge of health and safety. Proof of a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • You have a degree in a production or business administration or equivalent field /experience.
  • You have at least five years of professional experience in a similar position and have experience being part of a site management team.
  • You possess at least Lean/6-sigma green belt, with a black belt being preferred.
  • You have knowledge of change management and the application of LEAN methods such as 5S, FMEA, DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen and have experience in project management.
  • You are passionate to continuously improve our consumer-oriented business and the skills of employees and yourself.
  • In addition to a very good command of English, you preferably also have a good command of Swedish.
  • A solution-oriented and structured way of working, paired with a hands-on mentality and very good communication skills round off your profile.
