Join Imperial Brands PLC as an Area Sales Manager based in Madrid, overseeing the Nordics region for our Global Duty Free channel across all categories.

As an Area Sales Manager Nordics, you will be key in driving sales performance and growth in a fast-paced and evolving industry.

You’ll collaborate with diverse teams and have the opportunity to shape our business in the Nordics region while being based in the vibrant city of Madrid. Location: Madrid - Hybrid

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Drive Market Performance: Take responsibility for the Nordics region, covering all categories in the Global Duty Free channel. Work closely with the Area Manager to ensure the availability of products, forecast sales trends, and align strategies to optimize performance across key accounts.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key customers, agents, and stakeholders to achieve market KPIs and objectives.
  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to implement area strategies, monitor market budgets, and execute global and regional activation plans across all categories.
  • Analyze Market Trends: Gain in-depth knowledge of traveler and brand trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor strategies to drive sales and market share growth in the Nordics.
  • Support Key Customers: Manage continuous customer relations, including contract management, negotiations, and account planning, to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve KPIs.

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant experience in a sales role, preferably in FMCG or travel retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and a keen eye for detail.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages such as Swedish would be an advantage.
  • Marketing, portfolio, and trade marketing experience are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally is essential (30%-40%).
