The Role

Imperial Brands is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Sales Analyst to join our dynamic team in New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a sharp eye for data, and is passionate about driving sales performance. The role is based in Petone, New Zealand. The role reports to the Trade Marketing and Operations Manager within a close knit team. 

As a Sales and Trade Marketing Analyst, you will be instrumental in providing critical insights, supporting sales strategies, and ensuring the successful execution of sales initiatives. A keen interest in data and insights is critical.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse sales data to provide actionable insights and trends. Working closely with the Senior Sales Analyst, create and maintain detailed reports that guide business decisions and help optimise sales strategies.
  • Sales Strategy Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of sales strategies. Track sales performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and suggest data-driven solutions to meet sales goals.
  • Projects: Support the end-to-end process of sales-related projects, ensuring they are executed on time and aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key internal teams to ensure alignment of sales targets and initiatives. Provide analytical support to facilitate decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to improving sales operations, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales analyst or similar role, preferably within FMCG, trade marketing, or sales management and/or a relevant tertiary degree.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SalesForce, SAP) and business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritise.
  • Communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly.
  • Resilient, adaptable, results-driven, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically and strategically.
