The Role

 

Are you ready to lead and innovate in a dynamic global environment? Join us as a Category Manager and drive strategic sourcing excellence within our inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Manage and coordinate all strategic and tactical sourcing activities within your category.
  • Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and manage sourcing strategies to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key business stakeholders, suppliers, and buyers to develop category strategies.
  • Supplier Base Management: Develop and maintain a sustainable and reliable supplier base to mitigate supply risk.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Conduct negotiations with key suppliers and make contracts available to the regions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Lead the assessment, selection, and development of strategic suppliers to meet cost and performance goals.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating strategic and tactical sourcing activities.
  • Strong analytical skills to forecast price and market trends and identify changes in buyer-supplier power.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence and manage internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in leading, developing, and managing a high-performing team.
  • Ability to proactively bring external innovation and developments into the category.
  • Strong focus on compliance and agility to support strategic needs while maintaining appropriate risk management and compliance standards.
