Exciting Opportunity: Regional Sales Manager – Taiwan based

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Regional Sales Manager based in Taiwan. Reporting to the Regional Manager – East, based in Greece. You will manage  a dynamic APAC sub-region encompassing markets in APAC and a critical distributor network. This permanent role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and proven ability to drive performance in the duty-free channel to deliver sustainable growth. You will manage key duty-free accounts, lead a team of sales managers—including two direct reports—and maintain dotted-line oversight of Japan. Frequent domestic and occasional international travel is expected. Experience in duty-free, travel retail, or liquor is highly desirable.

In this role, you will define and execute the commercial agenda across APAC, leveraging strategic insight and business acumen to influence and collaborate across functions, partners, and cultures. Key responsibilities include leading the 5Ps agenda, ensuring forecasting accuracy, developing key customers, and building a high-performing, engaged team. You will take ownership of Taiwan—the region’s largest and most profitable duty-free market—driving growth and acting as the voice of APAC in global forums.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead Commercial Strategy Across APAC : Drive sub-regional profitability and value share by leveraging pricing as a key sales growth driver, applying deep understanding of trade margin structures, traveler group behaviours, and competitive pricing across host and home markets.
  • Manage Market Performance & P&L : Achieve annual revenue, volume, and P&L targets across duty-free and export markets while navigating complex market dynamics and influencing stakeholders (internally and externally) to ensure financial discipline and resource alignment.
  • Key Account Management Excellence : Strengthen partnerships with key duty-free operators and distributors across Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and broader APAC. Ensure professional engagement, strong customer communication, and consistent representation of the company’s standards.
  • Forecasting & Supply Chain Coordination : Ensure robust sales forecasting, stock planning, and collaborative demand management across APAC. Work closely with Supply Chain to address operational challenges (e.g., on-time delivery, stock freshness, ageing, out-of-stocks).
  • Strategic Storytelling & Internal Influence : Act as the voice of APAC to global teams in Madrid and Europe, ensuring regional realities are understood and supported. Build strong narratives that showcase market performance, opportunities, and challenges. Influence cross-functional teams (Trade Marketing, Brand, CLA, Supply Chain) for better customer and market outcomes.
  • Regional Growth & Market Development : Identify expansion opportunities across duty free, export markets, and select domestic markets. Drive long-term planning and investment decisions to strengthen APAC’s contribution globally.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Fluent in English and Taiwanese (spoken and written) with a university degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Experienced leader in FMCG Sales and Key Account Management, liquor, with a passion and proven track record of driving profitability.
  • Results-driven and entrepreneurial, with excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills across all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
  • Strong people management skills and a passion for leading high-performing, collaborative, cross-functional teams, including virtual and international teams.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
