The Role

We are recruiting for an Insights & Intelligence Manager France here at Imperial Brands — a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our local market and a key member of the management team. You will lead the Insights function and partner closely with business stakeholders to embed commercial, consumer and customer intelligence into every strategic and operational decision. As the driving force behind Consumer Insights, Business Intelligence and RGM, you will collaborate seamlessly with Marketing, Sales/Trade and Finance to build and deliver a commercial strategy that fuels strong performance and shapes the future direction of the market.

This role sits at the centre of Imperial Brands’ strategic transformation, as we strengthen our centralised Global Consumer Office (GCO) and accelerate our shift toward becoming a more consumer‑centric organisation. The Global Insights function is a critical engine of this change, placing a deep understanding of consumer preferences and behaviours at the core of commercial decision‑making to unlock competitive advantage. Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing Insights team, building deep capability and a culture that delivers impactful, insight‑led thinking.
  • Champion the Voice of the Consumer across the business, ensuring consumer‑centric insights shape strategic choices and commercial priorities.
  • Translate business challenges into clear, actionable insight needs, identifying gaps and partnering with Cluster Insights to close them effectively.
  • Prioritise and deliver high‑quality insights that meet best‑practice standards and empower confident, commercially grounded decision‑making.
  • Turn insight into action, guiding stakeholders through next steps — from refining plans to building compelling business cases that drive performance.
  • Demonstrate the value of insight‑driven initiatives, measuring impact, optimising in‑market insight processes, and sharing best practices across the Cluster, Europe and the wider Group.

Skills and Experience Required

  • An experienced Insights & Intelligence professional with relevant experience working in FMCG insights, marketing or sales.
  • Fluent in English and French, able to navigate complex documents and communicate with clarity, confidence and influence across all levels.
  • Commercially sharp with strong analytical capability, comfortable interpreting data, explaining statistical outcomes and turning complexity into compelling, insight‑driven stories.
  • Strategic in mindset and execution, with proven ability to shape, develop and implement strategies that guide commercial direction and unlock growth.
  • A confident leader and team builder, skilled at motivating, developing and elevating talent while fostering collaboration and strong cross‑functional relationships.
  • A good communicator with strong storytelling, adaptability and interpersonal skills, able to unite stakeholders, influence decisions and drive action through insight‑led recommendations.
