The Role

As part of the Austrian Management Team, you’ll take full ownership for delivering our sales and profit goals across Tobacconists, independent petrol & grocery. From our iconic Combustibles to our growing NGP portfolio (blu and OND), you’ll turn strategy into action with executional excellence.

Lead and inspire a high-performing field force, build a winning performance culture, and always look for smarter, more innovative ways to boost ROI and customer engagement. You’ll be the connector – aligning Sales, Key Accounts and stakeholders, managing people, budgets and resources to build a best-in-class team that wins.

Salary: Minimum EUR 90.000,00 plus bonus + Car

Location: Vienna, Austria

Principle Accountabilities

  • Own the Austrian commercial strategy by co-creating and executing volume, profit, share, and brand goals in collaboration with key internal functions.
  • Oversee full trade execution and field operations, including headcount, budgets, and market initiatives to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Build senior-level relationships with key customers to secure trade support, drive loyalty, and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a field force of 13 reps and a sales support executive, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team capability, recruit top talent, and enforce compliance with legal and competition regulations.
  • Act as a strong communicator across senior levels internally and build external networks that drive commercial and reputational value.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 5-8 years’ experience in Sales / Trade Marketing role
  • Outstanding track record of success within a field sales division operating across a number of channels and categories. Including consistent delivery of sales and profit numbers.
  • Commercial and sales oriented with an intimate understanding of the total margin value chain within the total UK Tob Max and NGP market.
  • Deep channel and customer understanding
  • A passion for working with people and customers in partnership
  • Be fully conversant with the Imperial Tobacco product portfolio.
  • Understand people, motivators and influencers
