Senior Product Stewardship Manager

The Role

Are you ready to shape the future of product safety and scientific stewardship at Imperial Brands? We are on a bold transformation journey, and this newly created interim role offers a unique opportunity to lead from the front.

As Senior Product Stewardship Manager, you will report to the Head of Product Safety and Compliance and play a pivotal role in driving scientific excellence across our stewardship teams. You will bring curiosity, technical depth, and a collaborative mindset to a central function that powers innovation across our next-generation propositions.

This is a 12-month interim position with the potential to extend.

Principle Accountabilities

• Lead Scientific Stewardship Teams: Oversee Pre-Market Stewardship and Product Characterisation teams, ensuring robust assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Drive Scientific Strategy: Shape future methodologies, systems, and processes for product stewardship across categories.
• Collaborate for Innovation: Partner with Innovation to streamline development and deliver high-quality, consumer-centric products.
• Leverage Safety Data: Use scientific insights to build consumer trust and elevate brand credibility.
• Communicate with Impact: Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling narratives across all levels of the business.
• Foster Excellence: Champion a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills and Experience Required

• A degree in a scientific discipline related to toxicology with demonstrable relevant experience.
• Proven people leadership experience, managing teams of subject matter experts.
• Strong credibility and influence at senior management and director level.
• Broad understanding of scientific and regulatory issues impacting commercial strategy.
• Excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and complex projects in a matrix organisation.
