The Role

We’re on the lookout for a curious, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Innovation Analyst to join our Innovation Digital Transformation team in Liverpool —a vibrant part of our global network of over 25,000 passionate professionals.

In this exciting role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering our Innovation Data Strategy programme, a key pillar of our Next generation Product (NGP) 2030 Strategy. You’ll work alongside a high-performing team to develop cutting-edge digital capabilities, enabling smarter, data-driven decisions, and help bring digital transformation to life across our Innovation and Group Science Regulatory Affairs (GSRA) functions.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Drive Innovation Use Cases: Support the Data Strategy Core team in shaping and prioritising high-impact digital use cases—from idea to adoption—across the Innovation function.
  • Translate Business Needs: Collaborate with Data Champions to identify pain points, define business requirements, and build compelling value cases for digital initiatives.
  • Champion Adoption & Change: Take ownership of deployed tools and dashboards, ensuring successful rollout, user adoption, and ongoing change management.
  • Lead Data Excellence: Improve data quality and management practices, driving continuous improvement and best-practice adoption across Innovation.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Impact: Document and align best practices across teams, ensuring consistent delivery and scaling of successful digital solutions.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Work closely with Innovation leaders to embed data-driven thinking and digital capabilities throughout the organisation.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Lead with Agility: Bring your expertise in Agile, Stage Gate, and digital delivery frameworks to help shape and drive impactful innovation projects.
  • Turn Data into Action: Use your sharp analytical skills to uncover insights, craft compelling narratives, and fuel continuous improvement across the business.
  • Think Strategically: Confidently build and evaluate business cases, estimate value, and track real-world impact to influence key decisions.
  • Fluent in Digital Tools: Leverage your comfort with platforms like Microsoft Office and other digital tools to streamline collaboration and delivery.
  • Inspire and Influence: Communicate with clarity and confidence, engaging stakeholders across all levels and functions—locally and globally.
  • Collaborate with Impact: Thrive in international teams, build strong relationships, and bring a structured, proactive approach to everything you do.
