The Role

This role sits within the Vendor Master Data area of the Business Partner team in Kraków. Data Specialist is responsible for the creation and maintenance of data objects and their quality. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and updating vendor and customer records, maintaining financial master data, and ensuring high accuracy in systems such as ServiceNow, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP ECC. You’ll work with bank details, GL codes, and account status changes, supporting smooth financial operations across multiple markets.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Create and maintain master data objects (customers, suppliers, cost centres, profit centres, GL accounts, etc.).
  • Run and analyse master data reports in line with compliance procedures.
  • Handle business queries and deliver according to procedures and agreed SLAs with a strong focus on data quality.
  • Monitor system interfaces and process messages on time in accordance with SLAs and OLAs.
  • Collaborate with Data Experts to improve data quality by highlighting errors, inconsistencies, and non‑compliance.
  • Support master‑data‑related projects and continuous process improvements, including documentation, data cleansing, testing, and identifying efficiency opportunities.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in data creation within ERP systems (SAP ECC, QAD, or S/4HANA is a plus).
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in regional structures and remote teams.
  • Strong customer orientation, commitment to goals, and focus on high‑quality outcomes.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Logical and analytical approach to problem‑solving, including prioritisation and creating practical, implementable solutions.

 

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Continuous improvement and service‑oriented mindset
  • 1–3 years of experience in Data Management (creation and maintenance of at least one object type: Customers, Suppliers, or Financial Master Data)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, IT, or Science
  • Fluent in English
