The Role

At Imperial Brands the IT Applications Manager SAP is responsible for the IT operations of our SAP Services.

Our IT Applications Manager (SAP S4/Hana) will join the IT Application Operations team in our offices in Krakow, Warsaw or Poznan and will be responsible for service management of IT solutions, its vendor’s and support partners performance and the delivery of managed services to satisfy the business needs. The activities will focus on the new global SAP S4/ HANA on Azure platform which is currently implemented across Imperial Brands global markets and factories through a multi-year transformation program.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Be the single point of contact and SAP SME (subject matter expert) for the operational IT around the services in scope
  • Ensuring ITIL processes (Incident, Request, Problem and Change Management and other supporting) are followed
  • Work closely with stakeholders across business, support partners and IT teams to drive Continuous / Service improvement initiatives to standardize and eliminate complexity of solutions and processes
  • Managing the set of contractual obligations and services in scope to ensure that the best value is being driven out of our partners
  • Ensuring Vendor performance against SLA’s through the running of regular Service Quality Reviews
  • Acting as initial point of escalation for all contract and governance issues
  • Support the process of sourcing new vendors enabling the acquisition of new products and services from vendors
  • Drive the delivery of the GBS IT Operations targets / KPI’s for the SAP services in scope

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience and expertise of SAP application management and end-to-end IT support including Service Quality Reviews, Service Improvement Plans and contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of SAP Basis, for example: system administration, performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and system refresh processes in S/4HANA or ECC
  • Familiarity with hosting SAP environments on cloud platforms, specifically Azure, including hybrid models for managing SAP S/4HANA in a cloud environment
  • Experience of working with multi support teams in different regions, languages and cultures
  • Proven experience of operating global business critical platforms with multiple business stakeholders and IT suppliers
  • Vendor Management
  • ITIL v3 or v4 best practices
  • Proven experience with Service Management tools (preferably ServiceNow) and methodologies
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing)
