The Role

An inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees is looking for a Tax Accountant, Statutory & Direct Tax Specialist. In this pivotal position, you'll lead the charge in statutory accounting, corporate tax compliance, and group tax reporting for multiple countries—ensuring we meet local regulations while supporting strategic business goals. Principle Accountabilities

  • Covering group tax reporting on periodical basis, with high extent of independency.
  • Cooperation with external provider for corporate tax calculation and tax returns preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in cooperation with external provider.
  • Coordination of calendar with external consultants, auditors, internal stakeholders in the Market and other parties involved in cooperation with direct manager or senior.
  • Reconciliation between local GAAP and IFRS and local GAAP account reconciliations.
  • External Audit support, liaison with external auditors and coordination of audit deliverables.
  • Interpretation and roll out of local accounting policy/standards.
  • Preparation of the statutory filing in line with Local GAAP requirements, including all notes and disclosures.
  • Constantly look for improvement opportunities and drive implementation.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong accounting expertise, able to act as focal point between different stakeholders, multitask and meet fixed deadlines.
  • Strong accounting, tax and statutory reporting experience in an international environment.
  • Experience in CIT calculations, for local and group purpose and in managing full local statutory compliance process for selected European countries.
  • Strong computer and numerical skills, particular experience with Excel and SAP.
  • ACCA qualification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and deal with time constraints, while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, professional proficiency in English.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and at stakeholders’ side.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement and critical mindset with drive for excellence.
