Imperial Brands — an inclusive, forward‑thinking business powered by 25,000 employees — is looking for a Senior Packaging Development Engineer to join our Poznań team.
In this role, you’ll be the key technical link between central functions, factories, and suppliers, ensuring smooth collaboration and fast problem‑solving. You’ll develop and qualify packaging materials, lead end‑to‑end projects from concept to industrialisation, and drive sustainability‑focused solutions.
You’ll plan and run material and format trials, troubleshoot the machine–material interface, and deliver improvements that boost efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise performance across our packing lines.

Principle Accountabilities
Skills and Experience Required
Engineering background with strong mechanical or packaging-related experience in large-scale production environments (FMCG preferred).
Hands-on experience with packaging materials, ideally including board, films, and understanding of machine–material interactions.
Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with creativity and resilience in problem-solving. - Knowledge of sustainability requirements, ideally including PCR materials, ISCC licensing/mass balance principles, and packaging recyclability.
Fluency in English and Polish, with the ability to communicate clearly across functions and with suppliers.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new tools and methodologies.
