Imperial Brands is a dynamic and inclusive global FMCG business, powered by 25,000 dedicated employees. We are on the lookout for a talented Finance Manager to support our Central Support Functions (CSF).

As the CSF Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of managing all financial aspects of our Central Support functions. You will join a close-knit team, providing essential Finance business partnering support across key enabling functions – including Finance, Group Strategy, Corporate Affairs, and Group Legal.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Month-End Close Management: Oversee the month-end close for Head Office (P&L, balance sheet) and CSF functions.
  • Performance Analysis: Prepare monthly analysis and insights on CSF performance for the central finance team.
  • Budget Holder Engagement: Regularly engage with budget holders to assess cost efficiency and effectiveness, providing advice and improvement options.
  • Business Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with budget holders to create business plans and in-year forecasts for P&L, Capex, and working capital.
  • Risk Management and Opportunities: Manage risks and identify opportunities related to the spend forecast/plan, and support financial controls testing and improvement.
  • External Auditor Liaison: Coordinate with external auditors during the prelim and interim close process for CSF P&L and balance sheet transactions

Skills and Experience Required

  • Qualified Accountant: Must have substantial relevant experience and the ability to navigate complex accounting issues.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communicator, capable of engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Highly Organized: Able to deliver high-quality and accurate materials within tight timeframes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to understand “what if” outcomes, identify, and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to prioritise tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail and seeing the bigger picture.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in SAP and Excel, and capable of handling sensitive information in line with GDPR regulations.
