The Role

This is an exciting time to join Imperial Brands, as Financial Planning Analyst, Eighteen months fixed term contract will provide critical financial insights, business case support, finance modeling, and ensure alignment with both the project’s and company’s financial goals. This role supports a major transformational project focused on reshaping business processes and improving operational efficiency, while also covering key FP&A functions. The role reports to Finance Business Partner.

We are currently enhancing our workflows around budgeting and analysis, with a strong focus on system and application integration. If you have experience within FMCG environment particularly within the Pharmacy channel, we would love to hear from you.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead Transformation Project: Spearheaded a transformation project within the FMCG and Pharmacy channel, collaborating with marketing, sales, and product teams to align on revenue and financial goals, ensuring seamless execution across all departments.
  • Develop and maintain financial models: Created and managed financial models to drive operational efficiency, leveraging deep understanding of FMCG industry dynamics and the unique requirements of the Pharmacy channel.
  • Support budgeting, planning, forecasting (BPF): Provided expert support in budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes tailored to the FMCG/Pharmacy sector, ensuring accurate month-end revenue review and continuous financial performance tracking.
  • Monitor and analyse key financial metrics: Continuously analysed key financial metrics specific to the Pharmacy channel, identifying areas for performance improvement and process optimisation to enhance profitability and growth.
  • Provide ad-hoc business case support: Delivered strategic business case support, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial teams, enhancing decision-making across the FMCG and Pharmacy operations.
  • Support model development in Anaplan & Power BI: Assisted in the development of financial models using Anaplan and Power BI, ensuring alignment with best practices in workplace safety, risk management, and compliance across the organisation.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills in FMCG / Pharmacy channel.
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation.
  • Expertise in financial software tools (e.g., Anaplan, Power BI, Excel).
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in budgeting, planning, and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
