The Role

As part of the Global Insights function, reporting to the Cluster Head of Insights, the Insights Manager Italy will serve as a trusted advisor to key business stakeholders. You will ensure consumer and data-led decision-making by delivering insights that meet stakeholder needs.

This role involves leading research initiatives, leveraging analytics, and guiding the business on pricing strategies, new product launches, and the ROI of brand and trade activities.

The successful candidate will also manage a high-performing team of 2 people, fostering their growth to deliver actionable recommendations based on independent consumer data.

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead Consumer Research & Data Analytics: Use insights to inform decisions on pricing, innovation, and brand activities, ensuring a consumer-centric approach.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a business partner, representing the voice of the customer and consumer in key forums, shaping business strategy with data-driven insights.
  • Insight Delivery: Translate business needs into research projects and provide commercially sound, actionable recommendations based on independent data.
  • People Management: Manage and mentor the local Insights team, ensuring their development and performance aligns with business goals. Active listening and high-performing team leadership are essential.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align on strategy and business outcomes, utilizing global best practices and tools.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in consumer research, data analytics, and insights within multinational FMCG organizations.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven decision-making and how insights drive brand, marketing, and product strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate insights persuasively and challenge stakeholder perceptions when necessary.
  • Exceptional people management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Fluent in English, with Italian language skills being a strong plus.
