The Role

As a People & Culture Partner, you'll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and supporting leaders through every stage of the employee lifecycle. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same—one day you'll be coaching managers through complex employee relations matters, the next you'll be driving organisational change, supporting talent initiatives or partnering on strategic people projects. Working closely with business leaders and specialist HR teams, you'll help create a high-performing, engaged workforce while ensuring best practice, compliance and a people-first approach remain at the heart of every decision.

Location: Hamburg, Germany

Principle Accountabilities

  • Provide expert HR advice and support to people leaders across all Employee Relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, appeal and complex employee cases.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, job evaluation, compensation, performance management, talent and succession planning.
  • Manage local reward, compensation and Global Mobility processes in partnership with Centres of Excellence and Strategic Business Partners.
  • Partner with leaders to deliver organisational change initiatives, consultation processes and employee transition activities.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR policies while driving continuous improvement and HR best practices.
  • Coach and support people leaders on recruitment, salary decisions, performance management and change initiatives, working collaboratively across the wider People & Culture function.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Degree or professional HR qualification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' HR Business Partner/People Partner experience within an international organisation, ideally in the FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of local employment legislation and employee relations, with the ability to manage complex ER cases independently in a unionised/works council environment.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the business.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a global matrix organisation, translating People & Culture initiatives into business impact and using data to support decision-making.
