As Finance Specialist Operations (m/f/d), you will take on a key role within the European Finance Operations organization, reporting directly to the Finance Director. In this position, you will support the European manufacturing network by helping to drive commercial performance and ensuring strong financial governance and compliance across multiple production sites.

The role is regional in nature and can be based from one of our German locations. Working closely with international Finance teams and local Finance Business Partners, you will contribute to steering and strengthening the financial performance of the European manufacturing network. This position combines operational finance expertise with strategic collaboration in a dynamic international environment.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Work as part of the European Finance Operations organization, supporting the broader European manufacturing network.
  • Provide financial oversight and operational finance support to multiple manufacturing sites across Europe.
  • Drive commercial performance by delivering financial insights and supporting operational decision-making.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, compliance, and adherence to internal controls across the European manufacturing network.
  • Partner closely with international Finance teams and local Finance Business Partners to strengthen financial performance and efficiency.
  • The role is regional in scope, based from one of our German locations, and requires occasional travel across the European manufacturing network.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Education & Qualification: Degree in Finance or a related field; professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA preferred.
  • Manufacturing Finance Experience: Proven experience in factory finance or controlling, with a strong understanding of the factory operating environment and a focus on conversion costs.
  • Financial Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and support operational decision-making.
  • Systems & Processes: Solid knowledge of IBM Cognos Controller and familiarity with factory ERP systems and local Imperial Brands finance processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues whose first language may not be English.
  • Collaboration & Mindset: Highly collaborative team player who enjoys working across functions and countries, with a curious, proactive mindset and the confidence to propose improvements.
