Join our inclusive and forward-thinking international team in Poznań as a Packaging Development Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract)! Backed by a dynamic global FMCG business and 25,000 talented colleagues worldwide, you’ll lead impactful packaging development projects from concept to launch.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and qualifying new materials, formats, and suppliers. You’ll coordinate machine run-ability trials, conduct packaging acceptance tests, and manage projects end-to-end—ensuring excellence in timing, budget, and stakeholder collaboration. Plus, you’ll drive standardization, reduce complexity, and continuously improve both new and existing packaging solutions.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Acting as an interface between central functions, material suppliers, machine suppliers, and production facilities.
  • Develop and design new packaging formats including patent checks and the qualification and specification of all needed materials and drawings.
  • Lead multiple and/or complex packaging related projects from the idea until full implementation and scale up (incl. set up of all measurements for packaging materials).
  • Co-ordinating and conducting packaging material run-ability trials and qualifying materials according process for production.
  • Support the internal engineering function on machine projects in specifying all packaging related areas, approval of format specific drawings, ordering of machine run up materials and ensuring that the run in process can run as planned both in-house and at machine suppliers. Final approval of the format on the machine
  • Preparing transport instructions considering the factory machines, supply chain and suppliers for different packaging materials focusing on standardization and cost effectiveness

Skills and Experience Required

  • Technical degree or equivalent in the field of packaging development, material development, mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Fluency in using PC / MS-Office skills, especially Excel & Power Point
  • Good level English language skills.
  • High interpersonal skills enabling to work in various cultural contexts and pronounced capabilities of teamwork.
  • Flexible, reliable and accurate, even in a frequently high-pressure environment; self-organization.
  • Willingness to travel (30%)
