The Role

An inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees is looking for a Legislation & Governance Assistance Manager to give assistance to the Manager Customs Legal & Strategic Initiatives in the matters of the analysis of complex numerical scenarios, supporting GSC changes such as strategically improving IMB’s footprint, production re-allocation and changes in material sourcing's.

L&G Assistance Manager plays a crucial, consultative role in diverse projects and implementations.

Hired in our entity in Tarnowo Podgorne, you can be located and a part of the office either in Warsaw, Radom, or Tarnowo.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be a Point of Contact for all trade & customs enquiries,
  • Assist in the monitoring of customs, excise tax and foreign trade law related changes & contribute to the development of proposals of respective needed actions,
  • Developing, leading & executing regular risk assessment processes within Customs and Excise area,
  • Drive company and customs requirements in terms of potential simplifications and harmonization of customs procedures on EU-level
  • Drive and perform customs and excise tax trainings and webinars, contribute to foreign trade related projects, 
  • Enhance IMB’s compliance level towards customs, excise tax and foreign trade law by driving best practices, continuous improvement and compliant ways of working.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrate excellent strategic thinking and tactical planning skills, with expert knowledge in Customs & Trade regulations,
  • Operate effectively in both collaborative and directive business environments, showcasing self-motivation, independence, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams up to senior management without formal authority,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills towards Senior & Executive Management,
  • Significant experiences within a Supply Chain Function incl. extensive Customs Management, preferably within FMCG Manufacturing or Distribution functions, 
  • Confidence operating in matrix-style organisations, combining direct and functional reporting within international, cross-functional teams,
  • Language skills: Polish & English fluent, additional languages are considered as an advantage.
