The Role

As a Hosting Services Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of our local hosting infrastructure and data centre services. Leading a team of infrastructure specialists, you'll oversee the delivery of critical hosting platforms, including servers, storage, backup solutions, middleware, automation, and FinOps practices, ensuring services remain secure, resilient, and cost-effective.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and architecture teams, you'll drive infrastructure improvements, champion best practices, and ensure our hosting services continue to support the business today and into the future.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead the delivery and operational stability of local hosting infrastructure, including data centres, servers, storage, backup solutions, and related platforms
  • Oversee infrastructure projects, ensuring effective planning, implementation, capacity management, and continuous service improvement
  • Ensure incident, problem, and change management processes are followed, delivering services in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Manage relationships with hosting and infrastructure suppliers, monitoring performance and driving service excellence
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation, operational standards, and infrastructure governance to support reliable service delivery
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing infrastructure team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience leading enterprise hosting infrastructure or data centre operations within a complex IT environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of servers, storage, backup technologies, middleware, infrastructure operations, and FinOps practices
  • Experience managing incident, problem, and change management processes within SLA-driven environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams while driving performance and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and infrastructure service providers to deliver high-quality operational outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and day-to-day operational delivery
