The Role

An exciting opportunity to join an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees. As a Global Category Senior Buyer Logistics, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing our logistics strategy on a global scale. You will be responsible for managing air and ocean freight procurement, supplier relationships, and sourcing processes, ensuring best-in-class logistics solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with global stakeholders, lead strategic initiatives, and create impactful cost-saving measures. Principle Accountabilities

  • Optimize Supplier & Contract Management – Build strong supplier relationships, resolve commercial issues, ensure contract adherence, and conduct performance evaluations to drive continuous improvements.
  • Enhance Stakeholder Collaboration – Align logistics procurement strategies with business goals, support local buyers, and coordinate with main production sites.
  • Drive Cost Savings & Financial Efficiency – Execute sourcing activities on time, optimize payment terms, and implement cost-reduction initiatives while improving procurement and operational workflows.
  • Improve Procurement Processes & Compliance – Utilize e-sourcing tools like Keelvar, standardize processes, and ensure freight rates in the Transport Management System (TMS) align with carrier agreements.
  • Monitor Performance & Ensure Continuous Improvement – Track supplier performance, enforce KPIs, resolve pricing discrepancies, and implement best practices to enhance procurement outcomes.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in air and ocean freight procurement.
  • Exposure to global stakeholder management and collaboration.
  • Strong experience in contract negotiations and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and e-sourcing tools like Keelvar.
  • Knowledge of other logistics categories (road freight, warehousing, logistics projects).
  • Understanding of financial principles related to logistics procurement and supply chain.
