Finance Systems Accountant - Hybrid

The Finance Systems team sits at the heart of the finance data that is collected in the Group with over 300 entities across the globe. You will work in a highly collaborative team maintaining and administering the Group’s finance systems.  You’ll provide assistance during the monthly end close process, with responsibility for inventory valuation postings and advising users across the entire Imperial Brands group on finance system matters.  

Please note: This role is based at our Bristol Headquarters where you will be required to be on site 2 days per week. 

Principle Accountabilities

• Act as administrator on the Group’s consolidation system, IBM Cognos Controller and respond to queries
• Manage structure, hierarchy and master data in IBM Cognos Controller
• Journals preparation including inventory valuation (known as Inter Group Profit Tracking)
• Monitoring of Transfer Prices and Transfer Costs
• Maintenance of Finance Systems section of Intranet
• Act as a contact for key stakeholders, global teams and external auditors on Half Year and Year End audits

Skills and Experience Required

• Qualified accountant
• Experience of working in a large organisation or group
• Problem solving mentality, inquisitive, willing to challenge the status quo and make change
• Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and teams
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Experience of working with multiple teams and building strong relationships
