The Role

We’re seeking a Consumer Analyst, for Permanent, full time role to join our close knit brand team, in our Sydney Norwest office to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping customer-centric decision-making. Experience in brand, marketing, or consumer insights analytics will be useful for this role.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyse complex consumer data sets from multiple sources (e.g., sales data, customer feedback, CRM, digital engagement metrics).
    • Use statistical tools and techniques to identify trends, preferences, and behavioural patterns.
    • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate findings effectively across the business.
  • Consumer Insights:
    • Translate data into meaningful insights that inform marketing campaigns, product development, pricing strategies, and customer experience.
    • Collaborate with research and product teams to interpret survey results, focus group findings, and qualitative data.
  • Segmentation & Modelling:
    • Build and maintain consumer segmentation models to target high-value audiences and personalise outreach.
    • Support predictive modelling efforts to forecast consumer demand and churn risk.
  • Market Trends & Benchmarking:
    • Monitor external trends and competitor activity to identify shifts in consumer expectations.
    • Benchmark performance against industry standards and provide context for internal performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, sales, product, and digital—to align insights with strategic goals.
    • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 2–5 years of experience in brand, marketing, or consumer insights analytics, preferably within retail, FMCG, eCommerce, or digital platforms.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of working with large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in analytical and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Educational or professional background in data science, marketing analytics, consumer research, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn data into compelling business insights and a passion for understanding consumer behavior.
