The Role:

The role holder is responsible for identifying, informing business stakeholders, and supporting interpretation of specific Technical Product Regulations (relating to product and its content) for all product categories to ensure that the company’s cross-category portfolio is (and remains) compliant worldwide.

Principle Accountabilities

  • To lead the identification and monitoring of current and emerging technical product regulations worldwide for combustible and non-combustible (NGP) products with a particular focus on regulations related to chemical management and crop protection agents
  • To work with legal experts and local market corporate affairs professionals on the interpretation of technical product regulations requirements
  • To lead the development of technical regulatory databases for all product categories ensuring these are maintained and fit for business purpose
  • To update/inform/communicate technical regulatory changes to business stakeholders to ensure company preparedness for current and future portfolio regulatory compliance and commercial objectives achieved. This includes leading the creation and circulation of the monthly regulatory update to a broad range of internal stakeholders
  • To support the compliance of products with current and emerging technical regulations through the use of systems (e.g. PLM, eSALT and PDS) and processes support the company’s regulatory compliance activities
  • Contribute to company consultation responses, critiques/rebuttals, and proposals relating to scientific and technical standards and regulations, as required

Education, Key Skills & Experience

  • Graduate in science-related subject preferred
  • Knowledge of global combustible and NGP legislation beneficial
  • Knowledge of Chemical Management and Crop Protection Agents legislation beneficial
  • Detailed understanding of IMB business processes is desirable.
  • Occasional international business travel
  • Analytical and problem-solving mind-set required
  • Eagerness to learn and look to make improvements required
  • English fluency/Second language beneficial
