About the Role

Talent Acquisition is in a period of major transformation with a new global operating model and attraction strategies being designed and implemented. This role will work closely with, and report to, the Global Head of Employer Brand and Talent Attraction to design, implement, deliver and manage all relevant and integrated social media activities as part of our core engagement strategy, to connect with and attract the best talent into Imperial Brands while building our employer brand. The role will uphold and champion brand consistency whilst identifying new and innovative opportunities to reach a wide variety of demographics and global audiences positioning Imperial as an employer of choice.

Please note that it is a remote role, with expectation of travel to Bristol or Hammersmith offices when required, and some international travel where applicable

Key accountabilities

  • Develop, define and execute social media content, campaigns and strategies with the aim of building Imperial Brands’ employer brand and driving direct talent attraction and engagement through multi-channel activity
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of social media activities and campaigns and ensure brand consistency
  • Creating engaging content for Imperial Brands social media sites, related to life at Imperial, employer brand and direct attraction. Inclusive of (not exhaustive): video, multi-media, blogs, podcasts
  • Ensure consistency in copy and creative including tone of voice and terminology
  • Working directly with principle third party creative and social media agencies
  • Working with internal stakeholder groups and individuals e.g. Social Media Working Group, Group Communications teams; local Communications teams to ensure social media and employer brand governance and that the Talent Acquisition strategy is adhered to and creative campaigns are aligned
  • Working with global markets, functions and individuals to build content and embed Talent Acquisition strategy
  • Create and implement eye-catching, attention-grabbing campaigns to build employer brand and reputation as employer of choice across global markets
  • Collate and analyse data on active campaigns and ongoing activity; create applicable reporting for internal senior stakeholder review and continuous improvement
  • Analyse listening, monitoring and benchmarking data; proactively identifying trends, opportunities and potential risk
  • Monitoring and managing user comments; responding to review feedback
  • Create actionable plans to support growth and support setting measurable goals for campaigns and strategic longer-term activities against return on investment and aligned to Talent Acquisition and employer brand strategies
  • Provide coaching and counsel on best-in-class social media practices
  • Champion the Talent Acquisition and Employer Brand strategies; role modelling our five new behaviours
  • There may be requirement to support on talent attraction and employer brand activities outside of social media to ensure effective delivery across global recruitment requirements.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • A relevant degree and/or a minimum of 3 years direct experience in social media strategy, content creation, management, and marketing.
  • Extensive experience working with a broad suite of social media channels and use of creative platforms and tools e.g. Canva, Adobe etc
  • Experience using variety of social media publishing, reporting, and monitoring tools and platforms
  • Great stakeholder management capability across all levels
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple campaigns and activities
  • The ability to interpret and analyse numerical data, producing high quality and relevant reports
  • Staying up to date with all social media activity and identifying opportunities and risk
  • Experience creating and delivering successful multi-platform, multi-country social media campaigns – paid and organic
  • Producing or managing guidelines, policies, and principles of use
  • Ability to create multi-media and multi-format social media content assets
  • Experience working with multiple departments, functions, and teams
  • Developing short, medium and long term social media strategies and activities – ability to see and work towards the longer-term strategic objectives of the business 

Desirable:

  • Understanding of recruitment and talent acquisition processes, attraction, and candidate experience
  • Understanding of global social media usage and metrics
  • Understanding or experience of wider media platforms e.g. programmatic, mobile
  • Experience of working with global stakeholders – internal or external
