Social Media & Events Executive

Reporting to the Digital and Media Manager, the role holder’s principle responsibilities are to support the social media strategy and contribute to best in class creative content.  The role includes leveraging consumer’s offline events and co-operation with influencers to drive the performance of our brands.

Key accountabilities

  • Own and develop the social media strategy across our next generation non-tobacco categories on channels including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Through relationships with digital agencies contribute to the production of outstanding and engaging content as well as curating UGC.
  • Champion ideas for new content and innovative ways of engaging and reaching audience via existing social media platforms and make recommendations for new social media launches where appropriate
  • Act as a liaison between various lines of business and the Digital and Media Team, essentially acting as an account manager gathering briefs from the brand teams, putting together timelines, and managing deliverables.
  • Support, collaborate on, track and analyse the delivery and impact of social media initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Engage and brief agencies to ensure events are designed in line with the overall objectives, brand activation guidelines and local market regulations.

  • Report on performance of events and activities using data, feedback and research to drive future enhancements and ideas.

Skills & experience

Essential:

  • Strong background in managing social media channels
  • Strong consumer relationship skills
  • Understanding of SEO, web traffic and social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Experience in managing 3rd party relationships to ensure the delivery matches what’s being requested
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships among internal and external stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Experience in an agency role and/or FMCG a plus
  • Experience working with social influencers
  • Experience in an event organising role
  • A team player
