The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Treasury Analyst to join our Front Office team based at our global head office in Bristol. The role is responsible for managing the preparation of the Group’s interest forecasts, the interest rate risk management and the derivative portfolio of the Group, whilst also supporting the short-term financing, liquidity, FX and IR positioning of Treasury by regularly undertaking the daily processes. You will also be heavily involved in continuous improvement projects within the Treasury Function. 

Key accountabilities

  • Ownership of the forecasting and reporting of the Group’s interest charge, challenging the assumptions and improving the process, communicating the rationale and methodology behind the forecast
  • Ownership of the Group’s interest rate risk management and derivative portfolio, proactively reporting, proposing strategy and driving execution
  • Support the short-term financing, liquidity, FX and IR positioning of Treasury by regularly undertaking the daily processes, maintaining a robust control environment
  • Support the Treasury Management Team with ad hoc projects, absorbing workload and responsibilities across the Treasury department as necessary
  • Supporting the Treasury Manager (Front Office), absorbing workload and responsibilities allowing him/her to focus on the strategy of the department and supporting the Director of Treasury

Skills & experience

  • Treasury experience in a front office environment
  • At least CertT / CertITM (or equivalent) qualified
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial acumen and be capable of thinking in big picture terms not just the detail
  • Competent and comfortable with detailed analysis with ability to interpret data and summarise key variables
  • Appetite and ability to both challenge and negotiate
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English both written and spoken
  • High attention to detail and work accurately when under pressure and able to manage tight deadlines
  • Proactive outlook and approach
  • Ability to work and communicate with employees at all levels of the Organisation
  • Team player with the ability to act on own initiative when appropriate
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel).
