For our Insights & Intelligence team in Hamburg, we are looking for an Senior Insights Business Partner - Sales & Trade (m/f/d)!

The role

The Senior Insights Business Partner position within Imperial's Global Insight function, creates actionable insights within the Cluster team. Generally working with Consumer insights or Sales & Trade insights (or a combination), this role will deliver insights data and analysis across markets to meet stakeholders' insight requirements and in accordance with best practice standards and processes.

What are your major duties?

  • Performance reviews (progress vs plan, drivers of deviation vs plan)
  • Tactical pricing where relevant (monitoring market, executing strategy)
  • Trade insights including account prioritisation & segmentation, monitoring competitor activity, trade & sales initiative planning
  • Initiative evaluation including Digital, consumer and trade
  • Collate and prioritize insight needs amongst your business stakeholder set, allocate resources effectively to deliver to priority needs, and identifying resourcing and capability requirements
  • Work with multiple data sources, prioritise key areas of investigation, and apply a sound interpretation to findings
  • Work with members of your Cluster insight team to translate business needs into robust insight requirements
  • Make best use of central, self-serve resources such as the global Insight Hub, best-practice toolkits, reporting templates etc., developing a sound understanding of how these work
  • For more complex or bespoke priority needs, draw on specialist knowledge and resources from central CMI, research, data and analytics teams by drafting business cases for their assistance
  • Articulate how insights contribute to the achievement of Imperial Brands’ strategy, individual team and market strategies, as well as in delivering a clear view of consumer needs and commercial economics to aid decision making
  • Learn swiftly how to provide actionable, commercially sound recommendations that are grounded in facts. You will use independent consumer insights to support your Manager to drive data driven decision making and challenge perceptions when required 
  • You will assist stakeholders with regards to next steps, e.g. refining solutions, building business cases etc.
  • Responsibility for delivering consistently high-quality insight outputs, in accordance with centrally-set standards and within agreed delivery timescales / terms of the SLA

Who are you?

  • You have a university degree, ideally with a Brand Marketing/Portfolio Management background and/or Product/Sensory/Behavioral Science
  • Several years of professional experience in the described area
  • Experience in Pricing/RGM incl. excise tax regime and financial implications, competitive intelligence and scenario modelling as well as synthesis/contextualization of findings and translation into consumer-centric, commercially advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills, a strategic way of thinking to develop knowledge of insights techniques
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Able to develop close stakeholder relationships whilst applying an objective
  • Ability to work autonomously, when provided with relevant methods, tools and templates
  • Comfortable with working virtually and in person across different geographies, time zones and/or languages
  • Collaborative mindset, keen to play an active role in the global Insight community
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with using PowerBI, or other Business Intelligence Software is desirable
  • Fluent English (must) and German (desirable) language skills
