For our Laboratory Network team, we are looking for a new LC Analytical Method Development Chemist (m/f/d)!

What are your major duties?

  • Develop new methods and process development to ensure the company stays up to date with testing.
  • Carry out trace analyses on Plants material, next generation products (such as electronic cigarette), ingredients and flavours.
  • Use instruments such as UPLC/HPLC-DAD/FLD/IC/CFA to develop and investigate methods.
  • Chromatographic data interpretation and correlation back to process, materials or contamination issues
  • Evaluation of scientific publication and up-to-date standard available (FDA, ISO, etc.).
  • Ensure newly 17025 validated methods are appropriately handed over by the team for use in routine testing.
  • Fully and clearly document method development process including method validation protocols, development, and validation reports, and required technical documents.
  • Interpret data and present findings with appropriate documentation, references and supporting material to the team.
  • Assist technical team to coordinate and prepare scientific reports, technical proposals, and presentations.
  • Function as a technical resource in LC areas of analytical / food / flavour chemistry.
  • Integrate functional expertise with business objectives to identify critical testing needs and timing.

Who are you?

  • Apprenticeship as lab assistant or university degree in chemistry / food chemistry
  • At least 5 years work experience in an analytical lab
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025, GMP, Compendium methods and procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Experienced chemist with a strong background in liquid chromatograph, Traces analyses in complex matrix, Screening method using Agilent, Waters, ICS500 equipment
  • Skilled in Method development using HPLC, Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Purification & impurity isolation
  • Looking for challenges in HPLC/UPLC, IC
  • Working knowledge of LC-MS, GC-MS
  • Values teamwork and collaboration
  • „Hands on“ mentality
  • Excellent English and fluent German skills
