The Role

IT Finance Lead
Bristol
18 month Contract, Full time

Here at Imperial Brands, we have an exciting opportunity for an IT Finance Lead to join our Global IT organisation. Partnering with the IT Leadership Team and IT Service Owners, you will steer and manage all finance aspects within the Global IT function developing a sound financial strategy. Your initial focus will be achieving a complex reduction and simplification of the Global IT Finance processes, and implementing continuous improvement processes.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead and continuously improve financial processes ensuring all processes are simple and efficient.
  • Own and lead the annual yearly budget planning process and ongoing monitoring to ensure accurate financial forecasting and analysis.
  • Partner with Group Finance and in-market financial directors to ensure the IT financial planning and forecasting processes are aligned with the Group requirements.
  • Develop the IT Finance Business Partner capability of the IT Finance team and the finance acumen within the IT community.
  • Provide insightful performance analysis allowing financial based decision making and improvement of business performance within Global IT
  • Ensure effective and timely communication to all parties involved with consistent, transparent and ‘easy to understand’ communication
  • Manage IT costs and costs structures for IT projects and services so that the financial implications of IT activities are communicated to the IT responsible owners.
  • Ensure proper accounting and compliance treatment of it spend and consistently & accurately applied allocation methodology.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors and provide benchmark analysis on IT spend in comparable industries.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in an Accounting/Finance function and leading a team, with significant experience in the field of financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong experience with IT and Finance processes, and comfortable reducing complexity and driving simplicity.
  • Extensive experience with large integrated accounting systems such as SAP.
  • Degree educated in Business, Finance, Economics or an equivalent field.
  • Prior experience of managing IT budgets and forward forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, with an ability to engage and confidently challenge stakeholders.
  • A strong continuous improvement mindset with an ability to drive for efficiencies.
  • Previous experience working in a large global environment.
