The role

IT Delivery PMO Lead
Bristol
18 month Fixed Term Contract

Here at Imperial Brands we have an exciting new opportunity for a IT Delivery PMO Lead to join Global Solution Delivery within Global IT. In this role you will develop and implement best practices to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of IT projects to Business Partners across Imperial. You will enable project prioritisation, management information, financial reporting, resource planning, decision making and recruitment, alongside the main responsibilities of the PMO.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure projects and programmes are delivered to meet business in a value adding manner.
  • Define project and programme processes and provide project support through reports and root cause analysis audits ensuring lessons learned are fed back into project improvements.
  • Engage and support 3rd party suppliers to ensure successful delivery of the IT project portfolio.
  • Track and report project and programme performance, identifying any risks or issues for key projects.

Skills & experience

  • Detailed understanding of project & programme delivery and the governance frameworks that ensure controlled delivery
  • Experience of leading a PMO function and programme/project managers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills that can be demonstrated through the ability to challenge constructively and build credible relationships at a senior level.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to describe technical issues in a non-technical way.
  • Broad PMO experience in a multi-sourced environment.
  • PRINCE2 and MSP or similar.
