The role

Head of Sales Strategy, Europe

As the Head of Sales Strategy for our European Division, you will be tasked with leading the design and development of our future sales strategy. We are looking to bring in an experienced sales leader who will help us revolutionise the way we look at and deliver sales. You will be partnering with our leaders in the markets across Europe to ensure the execution of our best in class sales strategy which you will have developed to drive revenue and market share growth.

Reporting into our European Sales and Marketing Director, you will own the end to end design, development and roll out of a multi-year sales strategy for both B2C and B2B.

You will have a key focus on developing strategies to work with our retailers, both key accounts and independents to drive retailer advocacy for our world-famous brands which include West, Davidoff, JPS and Blu. You will lead a team of direct and indirect reports.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Own the design, development and roll out of a multi-year sales strategy across the Europe Division
  • Act as a trusted partner and advisor to General Managers and Market Managers to upscale sales strategy, key account management and efficiencies across the Europe Division
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as Finance, Market Research,
  • Focus on improving the ROI for both Key Accounts and Independent retail across our key European Markets
  • Drive innovation and understanding around shopper behaviours to help us win in key markets
  • Drive innovation and understanding to win with retailers and drive engagement and advocacy
  • Work with key stakeholders in markets to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the field sales teams

Skills & experience

  • Strong background in sales leadership roles across regions, ideally within a global FMCG organisation
  • Strong background working with data and analytics to drive revenue growth across a large region
  • Proven track record of owning the end to end design and roll out of a multi-year, multi-country sales strategy which includes pricing, promotions, shopper and trade innovation & retailer advocacy
  • Proven track record or driving shopper relevant innovation instore and understanding in both B2C and B2B which have a direct impact on share and revenue growth
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of our business
