Here at Imperial Brands we have an exciting, brand new opportunity for an experience Head of IT Vendor Management to join our Global IT organisation. In this key role you will partner with the IT Leadership Team and work closely with Global Procurement and other Global IT functions to establish vendor management best practices focusing on strategic IT vendors, governance, risk compliance and aspects. Leading a team of Vendor Managers and Analysts, your initial focus will be to strengthen the Vendor Management capability and define critical success factors along with the ITLT.

Key accountabilities

  • Advise on and support key sourcing initiatives/solutions through commercials, transition guidance, and organisational enablement/training for internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively support Global Procurement with the contractual relationship of strategic vendors through the initiation (RFP) process through execution and monitoring through governance, reporting and in partnership with Service Owners.
  • Provide governance for and monitors the overall relationship with strategic IT vendors and, in partnership with Service Owners, ensuring adherence to Imperial brands’ policies.
  • Develop IT strategic supplier portfolio reporting for the ITLT.
  • Identify and recommend methods to support cost savings, cost avoidance, improved efficiency or more strategic sourcing.
  • Support the development of KPIs and SLAs for the relationship.
  • Conduct supplier spend/consumption analytics in partnership with IT Finance to provide sourcing optimization recommendations, including contract consolidation/restructure as needed
  • Implement and own the supplier governance structure, facilitating periodic reviews.
  • Research, analyse and interpret the IT services marketplace to understand supplier/market characteristics and identify sourcing trends and opportunities.

Skills & experience

  • Extensive experience and comfortable managing global IT vendors in a large scale organisation
  • Strong expertise with contractual terms, financial resource unit modelling and operation working relationships with vendors to ensure contractual commitments are delivered
  • Significant experience in Technology sourcing
  • Experience with development and evaluation of vendor scorecards
  • Qualifications relevant to the management and oversight of third party providers
  • The ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively with a can do attitude
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive for efficiencies
  • Demonstrated influencing and leaderships skills, including negotiation and conflict management
  • Extensive knowledge of business and IT processes
