The role

Global HR Policy and Process Project Manager

Here at Imperial Brands, we have an exciting opportunity for an HR professional or Project Manager to join our HR Governance and Programme team, Part of Global HR Operations. The role will be focused around Head Office in Bristol, but with the potential of flexibility to work remotely.

In this key role, you will work closely with a wide spectrum of levels within Imperial Brands, from senior management to individual employees, to improve global ‘Hire to Retire’ processes, governance of these processes and their overall performance. We are seeking an individual who has strong experience of working within a project environment with a good knowledge of HR policies and processes.

Key accountabilities

  • Stewardship of Global HR Policies and Processes within defined functional area.
  • Lead and project manage global continuous improvement activities including major change initiatives.
  • Identify key interdependencies of process improvements and enhancements within the wider HR community, managing full end to end changes.
  • Facilitate, support and provide expert consultation to other HR teams, Group and Local, to ensure and promote best quality policy, governance and project management practices.
  • Perform quantitative and statistical analysis of KPIs to monitor HR performance and compliance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Monitor industry best practices and contribute to setting development and improvement agenda.

Skills & experience

  • Previous project management experience within complex environments with multiple stakeholders with an understanding of planning processes and different methodologies.
  • Experience in end to end process design, including achieving agreement between conflicting points of view.
  • Significant knowledge of governance models, mechanisms and HR policies.
  • Experience in specifying complex technology requirements to reflect business needs.
  • Hands on experience in deployment and support of business supporting technology, for example ERP or HR system, portal or ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • LEAN / 6 Sigma certification or experience with a continuous improvement mindset would be advantageous.
  • Qualification in HR or similar field at degree level – CIPD qualification or equivalent industry experience would be an advantage.
