The role

The Global Brand Marketing Team is responsible for setting the strategy and vision behind Imperial Brands’ biggest and most valuable, global brands. 

 

As Global Equity & Activation Manager for JPS & West, you will be a brand guardian and responsible for driving brand equity and activation initiatives, that ensure our brand positioning is delivered in a consistent and relevant way, within the business and with all external stakeholders.  

You will be required to engage, regularly, with all areas of our business to ensure that we fully support the needs of our markets, and our brands, and deliver against the business plan.

To that end, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of strategically aligned, global initiatives that positively impact the brand funnel and be a primary point of contact with creative agencies, leading the development of these initiatives (packaging, communications, and activation).

Key accountabilities

  • Gather insights, understand requirements, and agree deliverables with various global stakeholders on projects related to the JPS & West brands
  • Directly manage and deliver global marketing projects (equity and activation) for the JPS & West brands
  • Work closely with external agencies and manage the timely delivery of work
  • Understand our global consumer typology framework, drawing conclusions and taking actions that steer initiatives to support our markets and strengthen our brand equity.
  • Champion brand positioning. Identifying  and supporting future developments to maintain alignment with strategic target
  • Support the delivery of Brand activation strategy, identifying best-practice approaches and relevant KPIs by touchpoint
  • Manage the delivery of activation toolkits and sign-off on localisations request by markets, though the global agency’s HUB network
  • Lead global brand initiatives including Tool Kit and Packaging Design development
  • Ensure projects comply with our International Marketing Standards, IP rights and local law

Skills & experience

Essential

  • Experience in marketing and a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles
  • Experience developing and delivering a global brand marketing strategy
  • Excellent project management skills with clear ability to prioritise tasks and deliver what matters. Ability to think strategically and critically
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with a global stakeholder population

 Desirable:

  • Understanding of digital marketing and its application
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG
  • Knowledge of consumer trends, profiles and behaviours will be advantageous
