For our Insights team in Hamburg, we are looking for an Consumer and Marketing Insights Manager (m/f/d) Cluster DACH.

The role

The Consumer and Marketing Insights Manager within Imperial's Global Insight function, is an Insight Business Partner embedded in and working closely with the Cluster business team, specialising in either Consumer insights and / or Sales & Trade insights. This role reports to and supports the Cluster Head of Insight, delivering proactive business partnering across markets to meet stakeholders' insight requirements,  in accordance with best practice standards and processes.

What are your major duties?

  • Business partner to in-Cluster Leaders and their teams, representing the voice of the consumer and customer at key decision-making forums
  • Accountable for delivering insights relating to: business planning, performance management (including strategic pricing investments), and forecasting and brand insights
  • Collate and prioritise insight needs amongst business stakeholders, working with the Head of Insights to deliver priority needs, and identify resourcing and capability requirements
  • Translate business needs into robust insight requirements that can be used to shape the design and execution of insight projects
  • Make best use of central, self-serve resources such as the global Insight Hub, best-practice toolkits, reporting templates etc., developing an expert understanding of how these work
  • For more complex or bespoke priority needs, draw on specialist knowledge and resources from central CMI, research, data and analytics teams by submitting a business case, or assisting the Head of Insights in doing so
  • Articulate how insights contribute to the achievement of Imperial Brands’ strategy, individual team and market strategies, as well as in delivering a clear view of consumer needs and commercial economics to aid decision making
  • Provide actionable, commercially sound and data driven recommendations. Will use independent consumer insights to guide / drive data driven decision making and challenge perceptions when required
  • Will assist stakeholders with regards to next steps, e.g. refining solutions, building business cases etc.
  • Responsibility for delivering consistently high-quality insight outputs, in accordance with centrally-set standards and within agreed delivery timescales / terms of the SLA
  • Support the Head of Cluster Insights in leading the cluster insight team; developing talent and coaching Insight Business Partners

Who are you?

  • Educated to degree level
  • Strong knowledge of insight techniques across brand, marketing and forecasting and/or sales, trade and pricing, depending on focus. Ability to apply innovation learnings to inform NPD / product launches
  • Experience of managing insight within in a market or cluster insight function – or equivalent role
  • Strong analysis skills and a commercial mindset
  • Adept at using storytelling to clearly communicate insights in a persuasive, articulate and engaging way, challenging stakeholder perspectives
  • Able to develop close stakeholder relationships whilst applying an objective, insight-driven lens to key business problems
  • Highly skilled in combining multiple insight findings with deep market knowledge to drive commercially-sound recommendations
  • Ability to embrace change in established operational techniques and practices
  • Adept with technologies and digital solutions to meet stakeholder needs efficiently
  • Comfortable with working virtually and in person across different geographies, time zones and/or languages
  • Enthusiasm for coaching and knowledge transfer to others across their team
  • Collaborative mindset, keen to play an active role in the global Insight community
  • Fluent English and German language skills
