As part of the Corporate & Legal Affairs team you will be working alongside the Corporate Affairs Manager for Global Duty & Free Export and their colleagues. This position will support the team in a variety of ways, providing day-to-day support in maintaining key internal regulatory databases, contributing to a host of departmental priorities and events, as well as ensuring alignment to the Corporate & Legal Affairs global strategy. This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with our team in their day-to-day work, whilst simultaneously gaining unique insights into Imperial Brands, Global Duty Free and the Travel Retail industry, as well as discovering what it is like to be part of Legal & Compliance team in a hugely successful global organisation.
• Contribute to the analysis of regulatory and policy changes with the aim to make possible impacts to the business tangible • Analyse and process information on respective business risks and compliance matters, across our global footprint of 80+ markets • Translate regulatory and legal matters (technical requirements) into easy-to-understand communications for internal stakeholders • Prepare written briefs and perform ad-hoc research on regulatory and legal matters • Prepare presentations and other key support materials for the team on compliance policies and matters, including the development of training materials and infographics for the wider global team • Ensure appropriate internal communications, supporting the delivery of a variety of conference calls, webinars and internal reports • Support the Corporate & Legal Affairs team in the preparation and delivery of key internal and external meetings • Support market clients (centrally and locally) with regulatory, policy and compliance issues • Support in the creation of market engagement / business plan templates • Track market developments and share actions / learnings
Skills & experience
• Eligibility to work in Spain with flexibility to travel if needed • University degree in political science, European studies, law or similar • Strong interest in corporate affairs, public affairs, legal and compliance • Already completed first work experiences in internship(s) or junior role(s) • Business acumen with focus to deliver • Experience of coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders • Language skills: English fluent, additional language (desirable) • A drive to be challenged
