The Role

Are you a detail-oriented, well-organized specialist with experience in customs and compliance? Join our dynamic team to ensure seamless import and export operations while navigating complex regulatory landscapes - The Customs Compliance Specialist will play a pivotal role in various operations aligned with Foreign Trade & Excise Tax Authorities in the area of Next Generation Products (NGP) both nationally and internationally. The role can be based in either Warsaw or Tarnowo.
You will play a critical role in keeping Imperial Brand in service of proactively driving compliance in a very rapidly growing product category and will play an important role in supporting an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees and if you’re passionate about compliance and thrive in a fast-paced environment we want to hear from you!

Principle Accountabilities

  • Using MS Excel, you will analyse customs, excise and trade data and act towards upcoming changes. Prepare and deliver direct and functional reporting
  • You will be responsible for tariff classification of new products
  • You will monitor and check customs declarations for NGP products. Support in arrangement of customs and trade policies within group
  • You will have an advisory role to the wider business in terms of customs and trade regulations for NGP, and support the wider business in terms of customs and trade regulations for NGP
  • Co-ordinate with supporting departments within customs and trade group. Handle ticketing system
  • Conduct analysis of upcoming law changes for next generation products

Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline
  • Relevant professional experience in FMCG with knowledge in EU customs law and tariff classification is a must. Excise tax knowledge is an asset
  • Excellent MS Office skills, should be able to analyse and translate data
  • Fluent in English (oral & written)
  • Ability to work in international, cross-functional and cultural teams, based on strong interpersonal skills and awareness of intercultural relationships. Confidence operating in matrix-style organisations
  • Self-starter, with assertiveness and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams up to senior management. Excellent written and verbal communication
