For our financial department we are looking for a new team member! We are searching for candidates for the following role based in Oosterhout (NL): 

Benelux Business Controller

The role

  • You’re a specialist in financial forecasting and analytical reporting, applying the philosophy ‘write history, shape the future’ by ensuring you gather the right insights from various stakeholders to have a clear understanding of recent events to create an accurate forecast of future investments and profits based on the latest insights;
  • You’re responsible for the coordination and reporting of the Customer and Brand investment within the Benelux markets and work closely together with the commercial teams driving a ROI based forward-looking investment strategy.
  • You find it easy to switch between detailed analyses and a strategical long term view while monitoring, investigating and understanding variances versus strategical plan and using sophisticated analyses to clearly picture and explain opportunities and risks to recommend and implement corrective action accordingly;
  • You drive improvement processes to further automate, standardize and simplify output for accurate and insightful analyses, KPI reporting and monthly reporting packs;
  • You love to translate the financial numbers into insightful storytelling towards the business, your eye opening analyses steer better and fact based decision making;
  • You act as a true sparring partner for the business and help drive the commercial and entrepreneurial culture within our company

The Team

As a Business Controller you will be part of the France & Benelux Business Controlling team within the Western Europe Cluster and report to the FBNL Business Control Team lead. The team is responsible for the forecasting process and creating, analyzing and sharing timely, accurate, and meaningful management information, including the monthly Head Office reporting, quarterly forecasts and information flows to external parties. This process supports decision making and ensures senior management always has the latest insight in regard to our financial performance. While based in Oosterhout (NL) supporting the Benelux markets you will be working in a truly international team working together with people based in Mechelen, Paris and Madrid.

  • Your advanced Excel skills make it easy for you to shape big data into clear reports and analyses while your strong analytical skills and natural curiosity help you to come to the root of a problem and the story it tells
  • You have an eye for detail and are able to see the bigger picture, connect processes and bring the right people together to learn and improve the way we work and identify opportunities that can further drive our business.
  • You’re a real team player and a strong communicator both verbally and in writing (fluency in English is essential, in Dutch and French preferable)
  • You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and manage your time effectively, prioritizing tasks to deliver on promises.
  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in business economics
  • You have experience as a business controller, preferably in a FMCG environment
  • Your affinity with information systems make it easy for you to get the appropriate insights from various sources like SAP, Power-BI and Group reporting systems.
