The role
The Project Manager (Consumer Marketing Insights) has two main responsibilities:
The role is responsible for supporting the Consumer Research team with the effective management of all research projects the team undertakes, from commissioning to delivery, ensuring in particular alignment with Imperial Brands requirements and way-of-working.
The role is responsible for monitoring and reporting budget spends and resources allocation against business plans, bringing the CMI leadership team’s attention to critical discrepancies.
Key accountabilities
- Supplier management, including:
- Document management: supplier records update, contract renewals
- Purchase orders (raising, tracking, sharing), Goods Received and invoices
- Status reporting, including:
- Financial status, department records
- Team resource, PTO schedules
- Project pipeline and KPIs
- Online document libraries usage
- Supporting cross-functional collaboration
- Liaising with Legal team to effectively manage approval process
- Liaising with Group Procurement to develop and manage MSA agreements with key suppliers
- Liaising with Group Finance to coordinate Business Process Approval process
- Liaising with Group Finance to keep Budget Owner Approval process up to date
- Liaising with Group IT to drive automated status reporting solutions
- Project management support as required
- Maintaining department online document libraries, incl. ensuring all required deliverables are available
- Supporting the communication and cascade of insights / consumer understanding across stakeholders; supporting the publication of newsletters
- Coordinating department staff meetings including scheduling, keeping minutes, tracking follow ups, etc.
- Support CMI team leads with travel planning and expense reporting
Key Deliverables
- Project implementation and budget execution summary reported monthly
- POs approved within 48 hours after initial request, payments processed according to IB terms
- Vendor information updated with 1 week after initial request
- Full research documentation shared within 1 week of project completion

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong project management and reporting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent MS Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
- Excellent English language skills
- Punctual, flexible, agile, with great attention to details
Desirable:
- Experience in consumer research environment
- Working knowledge of SAP SRM, Planview, Workday, Concur, PowerBI, Sharepoint
