The role

The Senior Process & Performance Manager is an active member of the GCO Deployment Team reporting to the GCO Programme Director and is responsible for the deployment of the new GCO function as defined within the Novo programme.

Key accountabilities

Programme Management:

  • lead and programme manage the deployment and implementation of the new Global GCO Operating Model, both centrally and across the regions, clusters and markets.
  • ensure all aspects of the change programme are scoped, planned, resourced and delivered to plan ensuring that they achieve the expected business outcomes.
  • Maintain all programme documentation such as the deployment plan, integration plan, dashboard and risk log in line with the Novo programme requirements.
  • Define and track the budget for deployment related activities.

Engagement:

  • Develop and deliver all supporting material required for a clear understanding across the business; processes, ways of working, training material, KPIs, stakeholder comms/engagement.
  • Prepare work stream updates and presentations to the business (Board, ELT etc.) where required.
  • Establish a network of GCO deployment leads - aligning with the wider programme team to build clear communication plan and regular drumbeat of interaction - webinars, upskilling sessions , community calls, best practice sharing.
  • Work closely with learning and development team to design, build and co-ordinate a Global GCO training plan to assess capability, establish performance standards and develop tools/materials to close capability gaps.

Sustainable Change:

  • Support the delivery of the Sustainable Change initiatives (People & Culture), such as workshops, briefings, follow-up and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Support the GCO LT to define the strategic project pipeline and roadmap for the next 2-3 years.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Maintain an overview of the portfolio of strategic initiatives ensuring that projects are scoped, prioritised, and delivered as per the project specifications.
  • Project lead selected strategic initiatives where required and/or capacity permits.
  • Establish programme office of strategic initiatives including chairing forum of project leads to track delivery escalating risks and roadblocks to the GCO Leadership Team.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Inspirational leader who can set clear direction and engage team members to drive for results
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and related support functions
  • Experience with, and strong commitment to, continuous improvement and Lean Management
  • Excellent problem solving and strategic thinking skills with a broad perspective, customer focus and strong business / commercial acumen

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years full time as a Programme Management. Experience and proven ability in managing the end to end delivery of cross-functional and cross-geography strategic projects.
  • Substantial experience in change, risk and issue management
  • Working knowledge of managing constrained project plans and managing its critical path
  • Good understanding of and approach to benefits delivery
  • Can operate effectively in collaborative and directive business environment and able to develop broad, cooperative relationships with a set of diverse stakeholders
  • Extensive knowledge across IMB business – particularly Insights, Marketing, Innovation, NGP.
  • Self-motivated, independent and proactive
  • Assertiveness and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) Certification or equivalent certification
