The role

Finance at Imperial has a vision to become trusted business partners, creating value for our customers and leading sustainable change to help deliver the company’s strategic priorities. As part of this transformation, we’re looking to deploy SAP S/4 Central Finance globally through our CFIN programme.  

This programme of work over the next two years will deliver us a new core finance system and a single source of truth.  It’s an exciting time to join the CFIN programme and is an opportunity to take it through the complete project lifecycle, working at pace to initiate, mobilise and deliver.  We’re looking for people who can bring your own experience and skills to help shape the role and play a pivotal part in delivering a high performing finance function.

Please note: This is a 12 month fixed term contract

Accountabilities include: 

  • Managing the stakeholders for Business Readiness for the CFIN transformation programme
  • Mobilising Business Readiness - ensuring key activities are being delivered
  • Managing and leading on stakeholder Communications and Engagement plan with the markets ensuring they are fully informed and understand any requirements
  • Understand and highlight risks, concerns and any key dependencies with other work streams - e.g., NOVO
  • Ensuring activities are delivered in a timely manner – CIA’s, Business Readiness Assessment etc
  • Highlighting any best practices across the markets and supporting them if required
  • Support the Change impact assessment across the markets for the CFIN programme
  • Support project closure to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged

Essential skills and experience required

  • A proven track record for the delivery of Business Readiness for large Finance Transformation projects in major organisations
  • Strong background and proven experience in Change Management 
  • Experience of using a variety of finance systems including SAP
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, including mobilising the Business Readiness activities & key actions on time
  • Experience of running projects to timelines and within budget at pace
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to “tell a story” around specific topics to ensure that these are easily understood by management
  • Proven ability to deliver the associated change within the context of Finance transformation
