THE ROLE

Fontem Ventures is looking for an Accounting Manager. In this role you will work in the finance department and you will be responsible for the leadership of the accounting team. You will take care of a broad range of accounting & reporting tasks and you report to the CFO.

 

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the monthly and annual activities related to the financial accounting & reporting for the Fontem Ventures Group in the Netherlands, Beijing and Austria. Besides this responsibility, you will also focus on daily operational finance activities. Fontem Ventures is the full operating entity, others have a limited scope of transactions but need full proper administration and reporting. You will do this with your accounting team (2 people) and with additional support from our FSSC in Manila. In your role you are in touch with a variety of persons from different departments and different levels like Imperial Brands plc Group Finance, the FP&A Manager and Finance BP for the category, but also external stakeholders like suppliers, auditors and tax & legal advisors.

 

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly balance sheet and P&L to Group Finance;
  • Deliver statutory accounts for all entities;
  • Manage and further develop the accounting team;
  • Monthly cash-flow, CAPEX and working capital forecast;
  • Monthly budget reporting;
  • Setup and maintain AO/IC processes and procedures;
  • Stewardship and governance in line with Imperial Brands PLC rules;
  • Managing T&E process including managing company credit cards;
  • Cooperating with FSS;
  • Managing Tax ( CIT, VAT, Payroll tax);
  • Manage the audits (external, internal);
  • Other ad hoc information requests.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in accounting;
  • Experience leading an accounting team for a multinational company or matrix organisation;
  • Up-to-date knowledge about Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
  • 5-10 years of experience as an accountant within the finance department of a multinational company preferred;
  • Extensive SAP user experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience with MS office;
  • Excellent Dutch and English language skills, both verbally and in writing;
  • Proactive, positive attitude;
  • Accurate and responsible;
  • Flexible attitude and good communication skills;
  • Diplomatic and persuasive person;
  • Team player.
